East Carolina University students came out in full force late Monday night and early Tuesday waiting to pick up their ticket for the ECU-North Carolina State game scheduled to be played Oct. 20 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Full-time students are allotted one complimentary general admission ticket with a valid ID and are afforded the opportunity to purchase another for a guest at regular price.
The lines began forming around 7:00 p.m. Monday in front of the Minges Coliseum Box Office location before the crowd eventually snaked its way around to Gate 7 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium near Berkley Road prior to the 10 a.m. opening. In addition, tickets were also available for pickup at the Mendenhall Building, ECU's on-campus central ticket office.
At the conclusion of their staff meeting early Tuesday, East Carolina Head Football Coach Skip Holtz and members of his staff greeted and thanked the students waiting in line for their support and contributions as members of the Pirate Nation.
Although the student pick-up process is scheduled to conclude Thursday, ECU Athletics Ticket Office officials said that the ticket supply could be exhausted as early as Tuesday evening - giving the Pirates their third sellout in four home games this season.
