Derrell Scott is a sophomore running back making a lot of noise for the unbeaten Havelock Rams on and off the field.
Aside from averaging 126 yards per game rushing for more than 15 hundred yards this season, Scott manages to hold a 3.8 grade point average in the classroom.
His coach, Jim Bob Bryant, says he's regularly one of the first players on the practice field and one of the last to leave. His work ethic in the weight room is also an inspiration to his teammates.
