Kane--do you ever go to Tuesday night baseball, softball, wrestling, or basketball games??? Hmmm--let me guess? No--because they are school nights? Give me a break and start home schooling.

Not only does the school need the gate, they need the booster club to make money, which funds alot of the sports. People don't even go to a ECU game when it's raining, what make you think they will come out for a high school football game. It's a lose-lose situation when it rains on a Friday and games are moved to Monday.

Pretty sad when AD's worry about budgets instead of whether or not student/athletes get home on a descent night to work on homework on a school night.

To AD.......gate receipts are even more terrible when played on Monday nights, just to dodge a few sprinkles on a Friday night!

Meant to play in the rain but as AD said--gates pay for most every other sport. I bet parents would have a hard time understanding why little Sally's cross country team can't compete. Little Biff's golf team can't afford to practice at the country club. There is a business side.

agreed. football should be played in the rain. there wont no thunder or lightning tonight and it cleared up a bit. so there was no reason to postpone games.

As an old Athletic Director, gate receipts are terrible on a rainy night, football pays the other sports bills, so you gotta have the gate

Football is supposed to be played in any kind of weather except when lightning or a hurricane. Not because of a few rain showers! just saying.
