It took overtime for Ken Whitehurst's D.H. Conley squad to top the Ayden-Grifton Chargers. Ayden-Grifton jumped out to a 12 point lead in the first half but Conley came back with a 58-yard run from Darrion Moore and a Jordan Ahlers touchdown pass to take a 14-12 lead at halftime.
Moore added two more touchdowns in the second half on his way to a total of 239 rushing yards for the contest. Fred Best scored on a 3-yard run for the Chargers in the fourth and then tied it up with a successful two point conversion. The teams were tied at 28-28 at the end of regulation.
Darrion Moore broke the deadlock with his fourth touchdown of the game, a 5-yard run, to give Conley the win in overtime.
