So, it appears that the first two games were a fluke. At last, reality has set in.

I know we are bowl eligable, but given the state of the team, injuries and all, I am not sure we are bowl "worthy". At this point I hope we can get to the CUSA championship, a game we will probably lose. We have as close to as many starters hurt as we do on the field.

Pirate Lady, I don't think anyone was surprised at the loss to USM......

Pirate Lady Bowl invites haven't been given yet. ECU has 6 wins which makes them Bowl "eligible" but if they lose their next 2 games, there will be no Bowl for ECU.

Rick, unless I'm mistaken, ECU has already received a bowl invitation, it's just going to be a matter of which one, depending on how the season wraps up. I wasn't surprised at the loss to USM; we've only beaten them 8 times, and injuries and a terrible offense didn't help. If we're lucky, we're looking at 8-4 in the regular season.

IF ECU WINS 1 OUT OF THE NEXT 2 GAMES THEY ARE GUARANTEED TO BE IN THE C-USA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME REGARDLES OF WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES. GO PIRATES!

We have been bit hard by the injury bug. However thats part of the sport. Looks like we lost a few more yesterday. Lets pack the stands in a couple of weeks and provide the much needed 12th man. We are still in the drivers seat in the east Division with the Marshall loss. Marshall will loose another to Tulsa. We now have to watch out for Memphis. They have come on strong although we own the tie breaker. We also saw yesterday that Tulsa is vunerable. Houston hung 70 points on Tulsa yesterday (final was 70-30). Go Pirates! You still control your own destiny in the east.

I am not trying to be negative, but this is a reality. ECU loses at UAB, then loses focus (not that they are focused) and drops the UTEP game at home. 6-6 and does not get asked to a bowl game much less Conference championship....From what I saw last night, I would put my money on it happening..
