Pirates Fall To #23 In AP Top 25

Greenville - The new Associated Press top-25 college football
poll is out and the top team is still Southern California while ECU falls 8 spots to 23rd.

The Trojans received 62 first place votes while third ranked Georgia
was given 2 and number-four Florida 1. Second ranked Oklahoma
failed to get a first place vote. The fifth ranked team this week
is LSU.

through Sept. 20, total points based on 25 points for a first-place
vote through one point for a 25th-place vote, and previous ranking:
