ECU travels to Raleigh Saturday looking to avenge last years 34-20 loss to N.C. State at Dowdy Ficklen Stadium.

The Pirates could go 4 and 0 for the first time in nine years with a win over the Wolfpack. A victory would be the second for the pirates at Carter Finley Stadium in three years. N.C. State holds the all time series lead 15 games to 10.

The regional rivalry between the Pirates and the Wolfpack will kick off in Raleigh at noon Saturday and fans are a picking up pirate gear to prepare.

The UBE store in Greenville was packed with Pirate fans Friday buying up paraphernalia for the big the game.

Many of the pirate faithful remember the upset over NC State in 1992 during the Peach Bowl while others remember the 70's when ACC teams considered ECU a "regional meal ticket."

Now a top twenty team, ECU will face the unranked Wolfpack for bragging rights.

The game is sold out but that's not stopping many Pirate fans from just driving to Raleigh to tailgate.
