Quarterback David Garrard has signed a contract extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Garrard had been looking for a deal similar to the six-year, 67.5 million-dollar contract Tony Romo got with Dallas. He settled for a seven-year, 60 million-dollar contract. Garrard was entering the final year of a four-year deal that paid him about two million dollars a year.
Garrard is coming off his best season, completing 64 percent of his passes for 25-hundred-09 yards and 18 touchdowns. The 30-year-old finished with just three interceptions and the NFL's third highest passer rating.
