NBC Television affiliate WMBF in Myrtle Beach, SC and Scout.com are reporting that East Carolina has landed a verbal commitment from Lake City High School linebacker Devaris Brunson.
The 6'1" 210 pound rising senior is considered a four-star recruit by Scout.com and the 18th best linebacker in the country.
Brunson announced his decision on his twitter page by simply posting "I just committed to East Carolina University."
Brunson had offers from ECU and North Carolina State and was also receiving interest Ohio State, Clemson and South Carolina.
Scout.com currently has East Carolina's 2013 recruiting class ranked 59th nationally.
