Greenville Native Signs To Play College Tennis At ECU

Greenville native Scarlett Walston has signed a National Letter of Intent to play collegiate tennis at East Carolina University.

Walston has spent the last two years as a full-time student at Heritage Academy on Hilton Head Island, S.C. She trains at the Van der Meer Tennis Academy. Walston also considered offers from Davidson College, George Mason University, Duquesne University and Tufts University.

“I chose East Carolina University because, after weighing the pros and cons of all schools on my list, ECU seemed like the best fit for me and the place for which I could find the most success," Walston said. "The coach is nice and I love the girls on the team. I know that I will enjoy the ECU Pirates tennis program.”
