Greenville -- D.H. Conley junior Davis Kirkpatrick has verbally committed to play baseball at East Carolina University following his senior season with the Vikings.
Kirkpatrick plays infield and pitcher for a Vikings team that finished the 2012 season with a 17-7 record.
The former WITN Player Of The Week picked the Pirates over N.C. State and UNC - Wilmington.
As a pitcher Kirkpatrick went 7-2 on the mound this season with a 0.92 earned run average over 47 innings while striking out 84 batters.
At the plate he hit .417 his junior season with 13 doubles, 3 home runs and 31 runs batted in.
