HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One of the three Marshall Football players dismissed from the team on Wednesday is now behind bars.

18-year-old Michael Fleurizard II was arrested on Wednesday and charged with robbery.

According to a criminal complaint, on July 31, a pizza was being delivered to Fleurizard on Marshall's campus. Fleurizard is accused of throwing the pizza delivery man on the ground and kicking him while two other males grabbed the food and $290 in cash from the delivery man.

The delivery man was able to identify Fleurizard from a photo lineup.

The criminal complaint does not identify the other two people.

Fleurizard is being held in the Western Regional Jail on $50,000 bond. He could spend up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the crime.

Fleurizard will appear in court on August 13th at 10:30.

You can take a thug out of the 'hood, but you can't take the 'hood out of the thug. Or the thug out of the guy for that matter. This behavior, lack of respect, lack of values, lack of morals, are taught at home, on the street, in the schools, in the churches, in the recreation centers, EVERYWHERE in some communities. It is a culture of victimhood, failure and lack of accomplishment. The truth hurts sometimes and nothing will change until our society gets over the political correctness and truly addresses the issue of why these shortcomings exist.

Dave, those 2 on the baseball team were not in any trouble with the law like those Marshall dudes. They cheated on a paper, then lied to the university officials, but that still was not breaking the law. As far as the football team, Jon Williams and Brandon Jackson were just 2 bad apples in a bushel, making the rest of the football team look bad, when they are really just a bunch of hard-working guys who are there to win. With the way you talk, it makes me beleive you are a thug yourself.

Yeah Sam, stuff like this NEVER happens at EZU. That's why 2 of your baseball boys got booted off the team and the football team is loaded with thugs.

This is something that I better NEVER hear about coming from an athlete of East Carolina University. I can only imagine what the Marshall fans have to deal with.
