A few showers did nothing to dampen a great time at the Cliff Moore Practice Complex for The 6th Annual Lady’s Football Clinic. First year coach Ruffin McNeill says 350 women of all ages participated in this years event that included a full slate of football drills.

The ladies started the day breaking down game film and getting some insight from coach McNeill and his staff.

Then it was on to the drills. The ladies were put into groups and took turns at different stations with the pirate coaching staff... From learning a proper 3-point stance, to getting a good jump off the snap. Tackling. Blocking and of course with this high flying offense plenty of passing drills... Coach McNeill said its always-great fun having done similar clinics while at Texas Tech.

The lady pirate fans of all ages looked like they had a great time. And it was also a chance to meet new pirate coach Duane Price. Price will be the defensive tackles coach... Taking over for mark nelson that resigned earlier this week. Price, Texas Tech alum is happy to be joining coach ruff here in the east....

The Pirate Football team begins practice Thursday august 5th... One month before the season kicks off against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane...
