Harris Steals Show At C-USA Media Kickoff

GREENVILLE, N.C. - First-year head coach Ruffin McNeill and senior inside wide receiver Dwayne Harris represented the ECU football team in Memphis, Tenn., for the 2010 Conference USA Football Media Kickoff. All 12 head coaches and one player from each team in the league met with members of the television, radio and print media to preview the upcoming season.

After the wave of coaches answered questions, the players faced the media and most of the questions in the first group were directed at the Pirate senior wide receiver.

Harris touched on his excitement about playing in the new offense under Coach McNeill. His thoughts were met with laughter from the media.

"Last year with Coach Holtz it was more of a conservative kind of offense. It was run first then pass second. But with Coach Ruff, it's more of a pass first, pass second, pass third, think about running on fourth."

Harris went on to talk about the excitement in the Pirate Nation about not only the team but the stadium expansion as well.

"Everybody is excited. New Coach. Excited to see what he's going to do. New addition to the stadium with 7,000 more people. For the fans, I know they're excited. They love us anyway, win, lose or draw. I think it's going to be a great season.'

The Pirates open the season September the 5th against Tulsa at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

Guess? How in the hell do you know what kind of grades Dewayne Harris makes? Obviously he has the grades in order to be elgible every season. Maybe you need to mind your own business before you go out spitting garbage. Dewayne keep doing your thing buddy and you will shut all these critics mouths up.

Gee, what did everyone expect him to say? Well, uhh we have a new coach and lost a lot of seniors so I don't know how good we'll be. The stadium construction is great and all but we need to worry about winning games in order to fill the seats.

Dear Guess?, why would you even bother to say something like that? Run out little puppies to kick and children to take candy from? Jealous much? You should see a psychiatrist before your hostility and anger cause you to venture too far past the steep steps of your mothers basement and force you to face reality completely unarmed with any social skills. There are a myriad of medicines and medical procedures that could help prevent you from getting so lost running around in the great big empty head of yours… of course that would require you to actually turn the lights on, put some cloths on and stop looking at porn on the internet long enough to actually have a real conversation with someone where you use your real name. Think you can do that? You know, live beyond the cyber –cell prison of megabytes and color pixels you call home? Maybe we’re all better off with you being a coward sitting in his mother basement after all. Unlike you we get to know the pleasure of walking past a darkened computer and see a sunset in person… without you standing nearby telling us all how truly ugly it is and how you could have made one far more beautiful. What a jerk!

@Guess, Are you his advisor or parent to know what his grades were for the past years. It sounds as though you have some envy in your voice, oh I get it you never played the game and could not get excited about the sport or your team. The only uniform you probably ever wore was the one on Halloween.

What are you talking about Guess? He's a great player and student. Do you know how much time he spends with local charities and ECU functions that promote good community relations??. He is exactly what ECU needs. When was the last time you visited a child with cancer in the hospital or built a house for Habitat For Humanity?? Dwayne has done both these things. You are pathetic.

Dwayne Harris needs to focus more on SCHOOL than football. Academically, I cannot figure out what he's still doing on the team.
