Final Two 2010 Football Home Kickoff Times Announced

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Kickoff times for the rest of East Carolina’s home games this fall were officially announced Friday with the schedule featuring a mix of early and late afternoon starts. Each contest will be televised locally, regionally or nationally.

Only the Pirates’ battles at North Carolina (Oct. 2) and UCF (Oct. 30) have not been assigned a start time and television designation.

ECU opens the season in newly-renovated Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium at 2:00 p.m. Sept. 5 on ESPN2 versus Tulsa, then continues home Conference USA action the following weekend with Memphis. Kickoff against the Tigers is set for 12 noon Sept. 11. Local NBC affiliate WITN-TV will air the game along with regional coverage provided by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). WITN-TV and CSS will also air East Carolina’s trip to Southern Miss Oct. 9. Start time from M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Miss., is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

After three consecutive road games, the Pirates return home Oct. 16 to take on rival N.C. State at 12 noon in a game aired nationally on CBS College Sports. C-USA rival Marshall visits Greenville Oct. 23 for a 4:15 p.m. kickoff. WITN-TV and CSS will again team up to provide television coverage.

East Carolina will host Texas Bowl-winner Navy at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Pirates’ final non-conference game. The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will provide regional television coverage of the contest. CBS College Sports will air ECU’s 2:00 p.m. regular-season finale against SMU Friday, Nov. 26.

Wal-Mart ACC fans are so pathetic. If you are that clueless about ECU athletics, you have no business posting on a WITN website.

And winning the ACC is something no in-state school can do except for WAKE FOREST! So yeah, I think I've got the right to be more proud of ECU than any ACC team does. The ACC - losing in the Orange Bowl for over a decade!

Winning CUSA is like bragging that your dog is potty trained.

The realist is only as smart of a person as the criminals that's on the show World's Dumbest Criminals. I think the so called realist is a high school dropout and sounds like one.

Wait a minute realist, let me get this straight. ECU wins two conference championships in a row, and now ECU is terrible? So by your definition, Alabama is going to be terrible next year too then? And whyyyy do people try to compare basketball to football? Is anybody yelling at Duke who just won the basketball championship "Well yeah but your football team sucks!" ? ECU basketball will never be good as long as UNC, WFU, NCSU and Duke rule in-state recruiting. And since when is ECU "wasting" money on athletics? I do believe it is GIVEN to the program by DONORS who CHOOSE to apply their donation to athletics. So to clarify, spending money on athletics and then winning two championships is wasteful to you? And when is the last time we had a half empty stadium on gameday? Was it half empty when we beat Houston a few months ago? And how is our Nursing School doing? What about the School of Education? How about we flip this around. When was the last time UNC/NCSU won the ACC?!

LOL Real Sense, you should take your own advice! Aren't you the one paying for the tickets to watch 4-8 ECU get beat down by UNC and NC state LOL at a stadium who has expanded to 50,000 so you can have 25,000 empty seats! LOL remember you are the one doing this. I personally am tired of seeing money wasted on the ECU athletic program shore up the academics thats what ECU should do. How many years since a winning basketball season? football is headed in the same direction at ecu!

Common Sense? Why would someone with the obvious lack of any real intellect bother to write something so completely devoid of any merit? Why would anyone consider that you might have any thoughts of real value to offer those who spot timeslots for major national television networks? Why would you open yourself up for complete, and might I add deserved, ridicule? Is it possible that you are really are the stupidest person in the whole world? Don’t get me wrong, the posts of ECU haters such as yourself never make me mad. Often I find them funny in the same way one might find shows like World’s Dumbest Criminals funny. So it’s not anger that prompts me to write this. I’m really just concerned that one day your mother or father might find out they raised a child with such a complete and utter lack of intelligence. You should consider the idea of thinking before you write once in a while (but I recommend you try thinking first, before you try to do two things at the same time). And if nothing else you might remember (write this down because I doubt you remember much at all), the words of a great president (that’s a leader of the US elected by those old enough to vote), It’s better to remain quiet and be considered a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
