Moore Decides To Remain At Chattanooga

After being introduced as East Carolina University head women

Wes Moore speaks at the press conference introducing him as the new women's basketball coach.

After being introduced as East Carolina University head women's basketball coach Tuesday, Wes Moore announced his intention to remain in the same position at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Thursday afternoon.

Moore was initially tabbed as the 10th head coach in the program's history and replaced Sharon Baldwin-Tener, who accepted the head coaching position at Georgia State earlier this month.

Moore has been the head coach at UTC for the past 12 seasons.

Statement from ECU Director of Athletics Terry Holland:
"I am disappointed that Coach Moore decided to return to Chattanooga. He put 12 years into making a championship program, and leaving that proved more difficult than he possibly could have imagined. I have already been in contact with Chancellor Ballard and members of the Board of Trustees regarding the resumption of the coaching search. I am confident that we will find the right coach for this program."

Dave: Obviously PK has you figured out. Also, it's obvious that you are ducking the question and I think PK is right as to why. I have never witnessed someone so completely taken to task on a message board as you have been here. You act superior, but it's clear that you are in way over your head in a match of wits. Not even close. A judge would have ruled a TKO in the 1st round. Even you know this. Better yet, this was done by a fellow Pirate alum. So much for your superiority.

Dave: Your plans? You need not be specific, just a very general account... Thanks.

Who: FYI...ECU's student population is much larger than UT Chattanooga and the City of Chattanooga has more crime than Greenville.

Dave: If you dislike ECU and eastern NC then why did you attend school here, much less stay for at least 6 years? You must find something appealing since you stayed here to complete both a Masters and undergrad (btw congrats on that). Why didn't you transfer to Penn State since you always speak of PSU? You stated some time ago that you were in the USAF, would your GI Bill not cover tuition else where? Best of luck to you and all future endeavors.

Dave- uh huh, sure. As I said, very, very telling. You're not fooling me or anyone else. You have a long history here of posting of your future plans post-graduation. Your pathological, mirror-like, mean-spiritedness is second to none on here. Now, that this graduation day is less than a week away, you go mum. Totally in your "character" though, you check back right here to see if you will be called out. You consistently deviate from articles here to poorly self-medicate your emotional angst. What's the matter Dave, your frailties catching up with you? Totally predictable. What's even better, you know that I KNOW... LOL!

PK, this is a story about a coach who stepped foot into ECU and said WOW, this place is an eyesore! I'm outta here!! NOT about my future plans.

Dave: Your silence is speaking volumes as to your future plans... Not surprised, at all.

Mr. Bud: I posted the the Sporting News link concerning the four NC FB players charged with MJ possession as part of a response to another article WITN posted. Point #2 you have a computer and you could have read it as well. Anybody can read it. Neither you NOR I can dictate what information any web site can publish. Furthermore with ALL due respect there's freedom of speech in this country. As long as any reader on this site complies with WITN rules any opinion can be posted, thank you. Rest my case.

Wow Dave, I can't help but think you are enjoying this attention whether it be positive or negative, you have left an impression here. Good luck to you in the future but please leave us alone, Thank you.

Dave: LOL at the docile response. You being the English "scholar" surely can give me the etymology of the phrase "cat got your tongue"? Dave, you sure do spend a lot of time on headline subject areas that you profess little interest in. Really, your issues here are obvious. Now, as to your post-graduate "plans"...
