Jaguars' Garrard Gets Late Invite To Pro Bowl

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster.

Garrard replaces Indianapolis' Peyton Manning, who will miss the NFL's all-star game Sunday because of the Super Bowl.

Garrard, playing in the Pro Bowl for the first time in his eight-year career, will join running back Maurice Jones-Drew as the team's only representatives.

Garrard threw for 3,597 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, and led all quarterbacks with 323 yards rushing and three scores. He also was sacked 42 times, threw 10 interceptions and fumbled five times.

I hope I don't get a heart attack WHY? I agree with the NFL most knowledgeable person named Darren. The general consensus among NFL players, coaches, scouts and even TV analysts/former players/coaches is that Tebow can't throw, can't read coverages and the list goes on. While Big Ben is NOT among the top five or ten best NFL QB's David Garrard is NOT among the top fifteen, either. I missed watching ESPN Jim Rome yesterday but the point is that Jags HC Jack Del Rio said that Garrard is NOT an elite QB-just a good player. Check: Mr. Darren please read the article and go from there. Del Rio knows more FB than ALL of us put together including you Mr. Darren, OK? Of ALL people Mr. Darren Del Rio the HC busted your ego and bubble! Darren Del Rio is a former USC Trojan LB. Just for kicks he was also the varsity baseball team catcher which also means he knows something leadership, HELLO?

Dave, the only reason that Ben even won two superbowls is that he had all the surroundings around him. And BTW, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are way better than Ben and Ben is not even in their league. If you are a Steelers fan, you probably would'nt get along with me in football as I am a Patriots fan and have been since I first started watching sports. If the Jags draft Tebow, they might as well ask for an 0-16 record like the Lions had.

A lot of Jaguars fans dislike Garrard and cannot believe he is in the Pro Bowl.

You see Darren, "fat" Ben as you call him has a nagging shoulder injury and doesn't see the sense in playing in a meaningless game. FURTHERMORE, "fat" Ben is a 2 time Super Bowl champion QB. The only chance Garrard has of winning a Super Bowl is if he gets traded to another team as a backup QB after Jax drafts Tebow.

Dave if that's the case then Fat Ben is out of his mind to decline. Only QBs that should decline is Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. JD, what is this you are even talking about?

The only reason why this guy is in there is because Roethlisberger declined the invite.
