ECU's Greg Hudson Flying To FSU About Job Opening

Greenville -- WITN has confirmed that ECU defensive coordinator Greg Hudson flew to Tallahassee, Florida on Monday to talk to Florida State University officials about an opening for an assistant coach under Jimbo Fisher.

Hudson has spent the last five seasons at East Carolina under head coach Skip Holtz.

Hudson, who is also directly responsible for the linebacking corp. at ECU, is expected to interview for the job as linebackers coach at FSU.

The ECU football team is getting set for the January 2nd Liberty Bowl against Arkansas.

WITN's Brian Meador spoke to Greg Hudson following the Pirates final practice in Greenville on Monday and coach Hudson said any decisions that had to be made would happen this week.

JDLadd: You're in luck! I've found you that abandoned barn that you speak of. Now, take leave of us. Follow the link at the conclusion of this post to the abandoned barn in Wyoming. This is no joke! Also, the creek that this Wyoming barn sits on is perfectly named just for you. Oh happy day. LOL!

Hudson won't take the job; he loves it here too much because of the low expectations. Oh, and I'd rather live in an abandoned barn in Wyoming than here.

Dave: Yes, I and many others on here have you pegged to a "T". Your posts portray a very unflattering image of yourself. It is hard to believe that the real-life Dave is any different than the immature, bitter, poor character in which you represent yourself on here. Like others have said before me, we all hope you leave ASAP too and it is hard to believe that you are a graduate student with your poorly reasoned posts and in the way that you conduct yourself like a middle-schooler at recess. Like I have alluded to earlier, you will carry yourself with you whereever you go and your lack of character will always show through and handicap any endeavor that you choose. Such is life and you'll have to learn it the hard way. Merry Christmas.

I'm glad you think that you know me so well TL. Anyway, getting out of Greenville/ECU will be an awesome day and I'd rather live in a cave in Montana than this place. If Hudson was smart, he would bail out of here and go to a school that more than 27% of the country has heard of.

I might be wrong on first prediction about Hudson staying, according to what I'm now hearing. Oh well. If Hudson goes- best wishes to him as he has done well here. On my second prediction about Dave. I stand by this with total certainty.

homey: Don't believe what is currently being reported and don't believe your oversized Florida ego. Yes FSU is higher on the food chain, but that is not what it's all about. So, let me to predict right now that Hudson is staying at ECU for the time being. You'll see. Dave's favorite state is Pennsyltucky. The area that he is moving to has many similarities to rural Kentucky. I know and like rednecks. But, these Pa. rednecks don't even realize that they are. LOL. Irony is great. I know this as I lived in this area attending grad school for two long years (Slippery Rock). Dave has never demonstrated much insight, but in about a year from now he'll realize that he moved his miserable self to Pa. and there is no such thing as a geographic cure. I'm not a prophet, by any means, but I think these two predictions that I have made in this thread will come to pass. So it is written, so it shall be done.

Dave Im glad you love state. I assume you mean NCSU when you said you love State. I really hope deep down you love all of the UNC system universities. They are 16 of them just in case you forgot where your tax dollars go.

Whoever is pretending to be me forgot the PENN in front of State.

    I love State!

Why does anybody think that ECU is like FSU. I love my pirates but Skip will be gone just as soon as a big time program calls. FSU has Florida to recruit from. The atmoshphere is better Football orientated to big time Football. Do we really think Holtz will stay here for 34 years? Lets all be real, wont happen. Hudson will take the Fsu job. Lets all thank him for what he has done and be real.
