Big Weekend On Tap In C-USA Football

East Carolina and Houston head into the final weekend of the regular season leading their divisions. If ECU and Houston are the division champions, ECU will host the championship game on December 5. If Houston and Southern Miss are the Division Champions, the Championship Game would be played in Houston because the Cougars defeated the Golden Eagles in the regular-season. If SMU and Southern Miss are the Division Champions, the Championship Game would be played at the site of the team with the best BCS ranking on November 29. It should be a fun final week in C-USA!

There is only one thing left to say and that is congratulations to the ECU Pirates for a job well done. Houston was a worthy opponent and now it is time for the media to take notice of what ECU has done over the last six weeks. ECU should be voted into the top twenty five teams in the nation. They have certainly earned my respect.

Congratulations on an excellent victory last Saturday against arch rival Southern Mississippi. As I stated in an earlier comment, ECU is playing well together as a team. We now have many offensive weapons and the defense is playing like champions. From what I have seen in the Conference USA this year, #17 is as good as they get. He played his heart out on Saturday as did many others and his reward was a victory. The core group of wide receivers are running great routes and gaining yards after the catch. In the final plays on defense, ECU played like the old Wild Dogs from the past. There are some teams that are just tough to beat, ask UNC, and for no reason at all that you can put on paper. There seem to be intangibles involved that cannot be explained for any reason. ECU will defeat Houston this week and the final score is going to surprise everyone. Houston had a gift last week that will not prepare them for this week. So get out and purchase your tickets. The Pirates will prevail.

Coach M, We are going to take the games one at a time. Southern Mississippi needs to be ready for a few new surprizes from the ECU offense. If all goes well, then Houston will come to town for a fun and exciting matchup. I personally like purple and gold over black and blue. I think you have set yourself up to be real disappointed with the upcoming games. ECU will prevail this Saturday because the time is right, but better yet, the team will be prepared by the coaching staff.

ECU, Southern Miss and Houston could play with anyone in the country Dakota?? HA HA Florida, Texas, Alabama, or any other team in the top 25 would destroy any CUSA team. CUSA is the whipping boy of college football.

Everyone get ready for a win this week against Southern Mississippi. Although we have had little succuss in the past, this week will be an exception. The ECU team is starting to peak at the right time of the season and we are getting some players back. We now have more threats on the offensive side of the field and the defense is playing much better. Once we win on Saturday, we will have an opportunity to play Houston for all the marbles in Conference USA. Houston is a very worthy opponent and their quarterback is a legitimate Heisman candidate. Case Keenum is exceptional and the ECU defense will have to get to him early should we get to play. I personally don't believe that Conference USA gets enough attention throughout the country. Southern Mississippi, Houston, and ECU can play with anyone on most Saturdays. Let's just see if this prediction has merit. ECU will play Houston for a conference championship in two weeks. I say this without reservation, it will be an historical event.

Houston is the far better team.

Keenum would shred the ECU secondary and Houston scores at least 50 points easily.
