Wake Forest Loses Green For Season To Knee Injury

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- Wake Forest sophomore Daniel Green will miss the season after suffering a knee injury during an exhibition game in Canada.

The 6-foot-10 forward tore his right anterior cruciate ligament in the fourth quarter of Friday's game against Brock in St. Catharines, Ontario. Green is scheduled for surgery on the knee in early November and is expected to redshirt.

Green, a native of Colleyville, Texas, averaged 1.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 27 games off the bench last year.
