UNC's Bernard Eager For Miami Homecoming

MIAMI (AP) -- North Carolina's offense is rolling. Miami's defense is struggling.

That's the simplest way to describe the trends the teams carry into what's shaping up as a critical Atlantic Coast Conference game for both on Saturday.

In the past two weeks, North Carolina has scored 114 points and gained more than 1,100 yards. Meanwhile, Miami has yielded 78 points and more than 1,250 yards during that span.

Still, the Hurricanes are 3-0 in ACC play, one of three remaining unbeatens in the conference standings. North Carolina has split its two ACC games so far, but is coming off a win over perennial Coastal Division favorite Virginia Tech, which had lost just one of its last 20 conference games.
