Strickland Leads UNC Past Tribe, 85-60

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- Dexter Strickland scored a career-high 19 points, and North Carolina had five players reach double figures in an 85-60 rout of William & Mary on Tuesday night.

Tyler Zeller and Leslie McDonald added 14 points apiece for the Tar Heels (8-4), who bounced back from a final-seconds loss to Texas by putting the Tribe away with two notable first-half runs.

Harrison Barnes scored 13 points and fellow freshman Reggie Bullock added 11 for North Carolina, which shot nearly 44 percent and took advantage of some awful early shooting by the Tribe.

Kyle Gaillard scored a career-high 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting for William & Mary (4-7).

The Tribe shot 37 percent, but were held to one field goal during a significant stretch of more than 11 minutes of the first half, then didn't get closer than 20 points after the break and finished with 21 turnovers.

LOL at Tar Heel Fan! Duke will be the only school in the triangle and this whole state that will make the final four. Tar Heels suck and will always suck. I'd rather watch Mexico in hockey than to watch UNC basketball, men's or women's.

Ok, TarHeel, let me help you out, I'm sure you didn't graduate from UNC, a loss to Texas is not a win. All the 5 star kids they get every year, they shouldn't never lose. Didn't ya'll play them in football too?, lol, yea that is right, you did, came back on William and Mary to WIN the game, see TarHeel, the football team counted that as a win. That's right, if you know the answer, go ahead and speak up, it's ok. Who is more likely to lose their job, Roy or Butch, you guys running a great program over there, lol. Love watching the news to see what they are in trouble for this week, Merry Christmas.

LOL @ Tar Heel Fan. We will take any win but as Erwin stated: It was William and Mary. Still the Heels did look better defensively and shot the outside jumper better than normal. Go HEELssssssss
