Seminoles Blank Wolfpack 34-0

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - EJ Manuel threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead Florida State past NC State, 34-0.

Lonnie Pryor and Devonta Freeman scored on short runs and Dustin Hopkins chipped in with two field goals for the Seminoles.

NC State fell to 4-4 (1-3 ACC) with the loss, while the Seminoles climbed to 5-3 (3-2 ACC).

Manuel sizzled in the first half, completing 17 of 22 for 212 yards and the touchdown throw to Shaw that gave Florida State its 24-0 halftime lead. His lone interception came when Rodney Smith bobbled the ball and had it swiped away by Terrell Manning.

Lonnie Pryor dragged a handful of NC State defenders into the end zone midway through the second quarter to give the Seminoles a 17-0 lead.

Devonta Freeman scored on a 7-yard run for the game's first touchdown and Dustin Hopkins added a 43-yard field goal. A 32-yard Manuel pass to Christian Green preceded Freeman's scoring run. The two-play scoring drive was set up by Greg Reid's 28-yard punt return.

NC State came into the game averaging 31.4 points and 370.6 yards offense, but struggled all day to slow down Florida State's speedy defense. The Wolfpack's deepest penetration of the game was at Florida State's 28 and that was the benefit of a penalty.

Glennon, who had thrown for 1,717 yards and 19 TD's coming into the game, completed 19 of 34 passes for 130 yards while James Washington was held to 35 yards on 13 carries.

T.J. Graham, who came into the game leading the nation in all-purpose yards, picked up 76 of his 116 yards on kickoff returns.

It was the first time since a 34-0 loss to South Carolina in the 2008 opener that the Wolfpack was kept off the scoreboard.

UNC = players run the show. NC State = Coach runs the show, that's how we stay out of the NCAA infractions office

Got 4 loses so far.Only games left that they might win are Boston College & Maryland & Don't count on that .BC & Maryland are not consistant winning teams. "So i think 5 wins is about right". A Losing season?Hope so. Go O'brien & Debbie yow. I Think it will be over for O'Brien if he does not win at least six. Don't think six wins will happen. NC State program is surely going South.Has been for years & Years. A Change is gotta happen. I Have never been impressed with NC States Football coach hires. And Yow As AD ,you gotta be kidding me.

Chuck , Chuck, Chuck. Going south, so soon you forget. Think Chuck, who was the only team in the state to finish in top in the state of North Carolina...TICK TOCK, that's right, the wolfpack, so get your facts right. Their defense not go so 38 pts I can live with, but a 0 goose egg for offense is not good. They are young and beat up for sure, but need to have them ready and TOB is one of the best game day coaches in our state, so not sure what went wrong. Debbie Yow doing great so far, good hire with basketball, better choice then bubba down the road. I hope they win at least two more games, good chance, they have the holes next which are playing good, but the Pack have owned them for years, so hope it continues, so Chuch get your facts straight so you don't sound like a moron when you post!

I'm sure O'Brien is not a good coach in your eyes, he only runs a tight ship over there,no cheating, finished in top 25 last year and does it all with 2 star athletes.
