Rocky Mount High School senior soccer player Andrew Morales will sign a national letter of intent with Duke University next Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the school's media center in the library.

He will be the first-ever Div. I soccer signee from the Nash-Edgecombe (Twin Counties) area.

Morales, who tallied 34 goals and 29 assists during RMHS' winningest season (21-3-1) this past fall, is a two-time all-state performer. He will be only the second Twin Counties' soccer player to ever play in the NCCA East-West All-Star Game in Greensboro later this summer.

Morales, who is RMHS' all-time leader in goals scored (106) and assists (97), has also been just selected to the ESPN Rise All-American Soccer Team that recognizes the top 32 high school soccer players in the nation.
