Ramsay Still Fighting Through Adversity At UNC

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina fullback Devon Ramsay is still working his way back from a major knee injury to return for a sixth year with the Tar Heels.

Ramsay lost part of the 2008 season with a shoulder injury, most of another to a later-overturned NCAA charge and nearly all of a third with last year's knee injury. But the NCAA granted Ramsay the sixth year, giving him one more chance to play even though he doesn't know how he'll fit into new coach Larry Fedora's offense.

Ramsay says he's staying positive, saying it's pointless to resent all those bad breaks in a luckless career.

The NCAA ruled Ramsay was permanently ineligible during its investigation of the program in 2010, but later reversed itself and declared Ramsay hadn't committed an academic violation.
