Questions Hang Over Tar Heels Before Duke Finale

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina enters its regular-season finale against Duke with questions about the health of top rusher Giovani Bernard and the status of interim coach Everett Withers.

Bernard suffered a mild concussion in last week's loss at Virginia Tech, though Withers said Monday he is hopeful Bernard will return to full practice in the coming days. Withers also says he's not thinking about whether Saturday's game against the Blue Devils will be his last at Kenan Stadium since taking over for Butch Davis, who was fired just before the season amid the NCAA investigation into the football program.

The Tar Heels (6-5, 2-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) have lost four of five in the past month, though they're bowl eligible for a fourth straight season.
