No. 1 UNC Beats UNC-Pembroke 100-58 In Exhibition

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- Tyler Zeller scored 18 points to help No. 1 North Carolina beat North Carolina-Pembroke 100-58 in an exhibition Friday night.

Freshman P.J. Hairston added 17 points for the Tar Heels, who struggled early before going on a 41-6 run against the Division II Braves. Preseason Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year Harrison Barnes had 13 points, though he didn't manage a field goal until the 14:35 mark of the second half and made just 2 of 8 shots.

Shahmel Brackett scored 16 points to lead the Braves, who jumped to a 10-2 lead and led most of the first half before UNC ran off 21 straight points. Hairston started the run with a 3-pointer to tie it, then added another just before halftime to help the Tar Heels take a 43-32 lead. They scored the first seven points after the break and pushed that lead to 47 points late.

I have got to wonder just how many NCAA rules this ranked basketball team is breaking. UNC's football team is a joke, with their self imposed sanctions. I have lost all respect for their sports program. Cheating is cheating, no matter how you look at it. Put them all on the bench.

Whatever team you pull for never broke a rule? We had 88% get degrees compared to less than 80% average and carolina is much harder than some other schools. Just tell me what school you pull for and ill let you know what rules they cave been found guilty of breaking.

I would hope so against UNC Prembroke, nice bragging, if they don't win it all this year then they will have a failure of a season

Dave: That is a very idiotic statement. Win it all ?? Failure ?? You do know the game is played because any team at any time can win, right?

TO me: They are loaded, if they don't win it's a failure of a season. Who finished second last year?, exactly, and any team can win at any time. With a roster like that, you should win it all. So think about it "Me" before you call someone an idiot, look in the mirror and make sure you don't see one yourself first before calling out someone, you will lose that argument. Now, go get in the car with your mother and go to dinner, early bird is fixing to stop, help save her some money since you still are living with her and pitch in on the internet bill too once in a while.

Dave you dont know what you are talking about. Do you really think uconn had the best team in the country last year? Do you even know who finished first? Uconn wasnt even a top five team but they had a great run and won it all.
