UNC, Bullock Beat Tennessee State 102-69

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- Reggie Bullock scored a career-high 23 points and Kendall Marshall had 15 assists to help No. 1 North Carolina beat Tennessee State 102-69 on Tuesday night.

John Henson added 16 points, 10 rebounds and a career-best six assists for the Tar Heels (4-0), who shot 62 percent and had little trouble staying unbeaten. North Carolina led 55-42 at halftime, then used a 14-0 spurt early in the second half to blow the game open and crack the 100-point mark for the second time in three days.

Harrison Barnes also scored 16 for UNC, which had a dozen players score and four reach double figures.

Kellen Thornton scored 15 points to lead the Tigers (2-3), while Kenny Moore added 14. Tennessee State hung around in the first half, hitting seven of 11 3-pointers in the game, but the Tar Heels held the Tigers to 11-for-33 shooting (33 percent) after halftime as they pulled away.

Really joe, the guy is trying to say since he hurt himself last year and they needed outside shooting he will be very important this year. This became even more true since Leslie is hurt and PJ couldnt hit a three after his first one the other night. I was at the game and Reggie looked impressive.

Really David, you and Anonymous are saying Reggie looked impressive against Tennessee St. How good of a defense does Tennessee St have to put on ol Reggie. No. 1 team in the nation and empty seats everywhere. Sounds like you should have taken some more friends with you and filled some of those seats at Cheater Hill. That has to be the quietest place to watch a b-ball game in the country. See how Reggie does against Kentucky, and I wish him luck and proves me wrong, but Tennessee St not a gauging factor.

I understand your point but they dont move the three point line back for KY. As far as Cheater Hill, at least our athetes dont end up in jail after they leave. I think ive seen four this year from EZU. Plus you shouldnt be a hater Jeff Lebo, EZU coach came from UNC. One more thing, let me tell you something about Kentucky. Two years ago KY had five freshmen go in the NBA draft, well none of those kids attended second semester classes. They came there knowing they were going to be one and done and since there coach seems to get alot of them one and done kids im sure he uses that as a recruiting tool. In my opinion thats cheating. UNC has one of the best graduation rates for athelets in the country.

Way to go Reggie! If he has a good year they will be unstoppable. Go Heels!
