NC State Hoping To Use Size Advantage On UNC

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina State has added talented freshman T.J. Warren to a starting front line that features preseason Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year C.J. Leslie and league-leading rebounder Richard Howell.

It could give the Wolfpack a big rebounding advantage against North Carolina's revamped small lineup.

Coach Mark Gottfried says he plans to start Warren for the second straight game Saturday after the forward had season-highs of 31 points and 13 rebounds against Florida State. Gottfried says he felt his team hasn't rebounded as well as it should, but Warren helped the Wolfpack dominate the Seminoles on the boards.

UNC coach Roy Williams says he plans to stay with a four-guard lineup that has 6-foot-5 sophomore guard P.J. Hairston at the 4-spot while matching up with Leslie.
