NC State Has Home Opener Against Jaguars

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina State will play its first home game when it faces South Alabama on Saturday night.

The Wolfpack (1-1) lost the opener against Tennessee in Atlanta's Georgia Dome and won 10-7 at Connecticut. Coach Tom O'Brien is hoping to see improvement from the offense and quarterback Mike Glennon, who threw four interceptions against the Volunteers and had trouble moving the football against the Huskies.

Glennon had a huge game against South Alabama in last year's meeting here, throwing for 274 yards and four touchdowns in his third career start. N.C. State forced three turnovers in the 35-13 win.

South Alabama (1-1) is playing the first of two straight road games against BCS conference teams, including next week's trip to Mississippi State.
