Maryland Finally Begins ACC At Home Vs Wake Forest

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- It's time to find out whether Maryland is good enough to make some noise in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Terrapins split two non-league games during the first month of the season to match their win total from last year. Now, following a bye, Maryland (2-2) becomes the last team to delve into ACC play with a home matchup Saturday against Wake Forest (3-2, 1-2).

It's been well over 13 months since Maryland last won in the ACC. After opening coach Randy Edsall's first season at the school with a rousing 32-24 victory over Miami, the Terrapins dropped their last seven league games in 2011.

Wake Forest will be without standout wide receiver Michael Campanaro, who broke the back of his right hand last week in a loss to Duke.
