Kinston's Bullock Likely To Replace Strickland In UNC Lineup

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina coach Roy Williams says sophomore Reggie Bullock probably will replace injured guard Dexter Strickland in the starting lineup.

Williams said Monday that "unless something strange happens, we'll start Reggie" against instate rival North Carolina State on Thursday night.

The former Kinston High School star has come off the bench in all 19 games for the Tar Heels (16-3, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) and has a team-best 34 3-pointers.

Strickland is out for the season after tearing his right anterior cruciate ligament last week at Virginia Tech. He started every game at
shooting guard and filled in at the point when starter Kendall Marshall needed a break.

Williams also says Strickland's injury won't affect his decision on guard Leslie McDonald. He's likely to redshirt after tearing his right ACL over the summer.

I would like to thank WITN for removing Daves "mother" comments again. Is there a way to block all of this pervs comments? It takes a real loser to make dirty comments about ones deceased mother. Thanks

Looks like they're clamping down on comments. Many of mine have not been posted recently. I guess my racist views aren't appreciated anymore. (Black Mods?)

Nah, the WITN moderator is just of unc homer. You can post any stupid, racist, or otherwise offensive rant criticizing ECU or its athletes but the moderator won't post any comments criticizing unc.

JC, first of all I dont know what "gleasted" means and secondly I was not referring to this one particular article but the negative comments regarding UNC on articles almost daily. WITN does not have a problem posting all of the negative comments that you guys make about UNC. In regards to this article I have to ask, ever heard of "Dave" the moron? He makes negative comments about UNC daily, along with other posters here and they are published (not censored) by WITN. Dave has a habit of making nasty comments about UNC fans mothers which is just wrong and I usually report those to WITN and they are deleted. How childish is it to talk nasty about someones mother that you dont even know and just because of a sports team? He lacks morals and substance and would love for him to post his phone number here because I would love to talk to him about some of his responses to my comments and his comments about my mother who is deceased. It would be a very short conversation...

Coach Williams has been the head coach for 825 games. In ONE game he left 14.2 seconds early to avoid the students who were about to rush the court and it was done because it was suggested that he do that from the opposing teams coaching staff. Can you not come up with something of substance to moan about or do you just totally lack substance? I know the answer but would like to hear your idiotic rambling answer. Waiting...

I am impressed with Reggie's defensive play. I think as far as scoring ability Reggie is a better choice anyway. The issue is going to be is who will fill in for Marshall??? Need a ball handler and I am not sure Reggie can fit that bill??

I think with a little more playing time that Reggie will come into his own. He is a great player and with a little aggressiveness, you will see a great improvement in his game. Losing Strickland hurts, especially on the defensive end, but I think in a couple of games, Reggie will be a great replacement. GO HEELS!
