Kinston's Bullock Likely To Replace Strickland In UNC Lineup

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina coach Roy Williams says sophomore Reggie Bullock probably will replace injured guard Dexter Strickland in the starting lineup.

Williams said Monday that "unless something strange happens, we'll start Reggie" against instate rival North Carolina State on Thursday night.

The former Kinston High School star has come off the bench in all 19 games for the Tar Heels (16-3, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) and has a team-best 34 3-pointers.

Strickland is out for the season after tearing his right anterior cruciate ligament last week at Virginia Tech. He started every game at
shooting guard and filled in at the point when starter Kendall Marshall needed a break.

Williams also says Strickland's injury won't affect his decision on guard Leslie McDonald. He's likely to redshirt after tearing his right ACL over the summer.
