Glennon's 3 TDs Help NC State Down Louisville 31-24

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Mike Glennon threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns and David Amerson returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown as North Carolina State defeated Louisville 31-24 in the Belk Bowl.

T.J. Graham made the most of his final game at N.C. State with seven catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yard score on a nifty catch-and-run, as the Wolfpack (8-5) overcame a series of special teams blunders to hold off a late charge from the Cardinals (7-6).

Amerson had two more interceptions to give him 13 for the season, the most in the country, while setting a new Atlantic Coast Conference record.

Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, who threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another, nearly brought the Cardinals back from a 21-point deficit, but his final heave on fourth-and-23 was picked off by Amerson with 41 seconds left.

Well of the five major schools in the state, only three went bowling. Of those three, how many teams won their bowl game? Wait for it, wait for it, yep, that's right, the Wolfpack!

These guys keep falling back on this 60 something to 30 something record, which is great and all, but in all seriousness, how much do you think recruits care about that? I'm sure the 44-0 UNC blowout in 1894 was a barnburner, but the 5 consecutive wins now are a lot more relevant to kids coming in. Carolina broke multiple NCAA rules and are still irrelevant, and at NC State things are done right, and they have the results to back it up. I seem to remember them being in contention for the ACC last year.

its the baby blue ragers...so mad, and so sad they can't help but brag about the 1899 game...still waiting on that ACC NCSU vs UNC record...just doesn't have the same punch does it...in the century that we are currently living in, NCSU ownes UNC in football, NCSU is just better!!!

I'm a UNC fan, but tell you what, the wolfpack has it's football program clicking. Went to three UNC games this year and went to one Pack game with a friend. Let me tell you, much better enviroment at the NC State game for sure. The crowd was lively, tailgating much more enjoyable, and they love their football at NC State. Coach Gott turning basketball around too, NC State has a lot to offer for sure. Congrats Pack on your win!

How many other teams improved as the year went on? Nobody else in the state, most written off state saying they couldn't get six wins. TOB is a great coach, and does more with 1 and 2 stars then the holes doe with all those cheating 5 stars. Out coached Butch for 4 years and he is out of a job and Tarholes are waiting to have axe brought down on them for all the cheating going on there, and TOB keeps on trucking. GO PACK!

Way to represent Pack! No need to go to a bowl game if you not going to be prepared, guess the holes shouldn't had run their coach off. Pack is back, baby! The flagship university for sure!

You are gonna need a lot more national championships to ever be considered the flagship school in this state. NCSU will never catch up to UNC in that catagory
