RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested a former North Carolina State University basketball player accused in a September home invasion.
Raleigh Police Department spokesman Jim Sughrue said Monday that Gavin Grant was taken into custody Sunday. Authorities had been looking for him since November.
Grant is charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Grant played for the Wolfpack from 2004 to 2008 before joining the Utah Flash in the NBA Developmental League. The Jamaica-born player was previously charged in 2009 with one count of obtaining property by false pretenses.
