Former NC State Hoops Player Charged With Burglary

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities are looking for a former North Carolina State University basketball player accused in a September home invasion.

The Raleigh Police Department said Friday that warrants show 25-year-old Gavin Grant is charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Authorities are trying to identify a second suspect in the case.

Jamaica-born Grant played for the Wolfpack from 2004 to 2008 before joining the Utah Flash in the NBA Developmental League. He was previously charged in 2009 with one count of obtaining property by false pretenses.
