Duke's Ryan Kelly Day To Day With Sprained Foot

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski says he hopes to have injured forward Ryan Kelly back on the practice court by Thursday.

Krzyzewski said Tuesday that "it's a day-to-day thing" for Kelly, a week after he sprained his right foot during practice and missed the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

The second-seeded Blue Devils (27-6) play 15th-seeded Lehigh (26-7) on Friday in Greensboro in their South region opener.

Krzyzewski says Kelly trained in water Monday for movement and conditioning, and jokes that "if we were playing water polo, I guess he'd be ready to play."

The 6-foot-11 junior poses matchup problems for opponents. He has 40 3-pointers this season and opposing big men must come to the perimeter to guard him, freeing up space inside.
