North Carolina had to go to overtime to do it but they took down 13-seed Ohio 73-65 in the Sweet 16 Friday night.
The Heels were without point guard Kendall Marshall who sat out the contest with a wrist injury.
His absence was felt.
Stillman White managed just 2 points as Marshall's replacement.
As a result, UNC relied heavily on the other four starters who all managed to get into double-figure points. Tyler Zeller led the UNC attack with 20 points and 23 rebounds.
Ohio had a chance to win it at the end of regulation but a desperation shot hit the iron, sending the game into overtime.
