MIAMI (AP) -- Miami has not won three straight games since 2009. North Carolina State is looking for its first four-game winning streak since 2010.
Neither would seem modest to the prevailing team Saturday.
Unlikely as this may seem, Miami has not been 3-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play since 2004, its first year in the league. But the Hurricanes (3-1, 2-0 ACC) could reach that not-exactly-lofty status if they beat the Wolfpack (3-1, 0-0) in the first matchup between the programs in nearly four years.
The Hurricanes are coming off wins over Bethune-Cookman and Georgia Tech, the latter a wild one where Miami blew a 19-0 lead and then rallied from a 17-point deficit.
N.C. State opened with a loss to Tennessee, following that by beating Connecticut, South Alabama and The Citadel.
