Amato And Three Other Seminole Coaches Out After Bowl

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Incoming Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher is cleaning house after the Gator Bowl.

Running backs coach Dexter Carter says he along with longtime Bobby Bowden assistant and former North Carolina State coach Chuck Amato, strength coach Todd Stroud and defensive ends coach Jody Allen will be not be returning after the New Year's Day game against West Virginia.

Carter said Wednesday that Fisher, who replaces the retiring Bowden after the Gator Bowl, told him that he "wanted to go in a different direction."

Local media first reported the story.

Defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews already announced his retirement, leaving Fisher five vacancies to fill.

"m" apparently is a fan of anyone who used to be good. He is also a Notre Dame fan. Long ago, decades ago, they were a national power. Now they are average.

I am a FSU fan and welcome the change. I do not know if Coach Fisher is the answer but I know that it is time for Coach Bowden to step down. GOOOOO NOLES!!!!!

I not have the feeling that Florida, Miami, and South Florida will end up being the new three. At this rate, I expect Florida State football to go downhill. This has always been my favorite ACC team as well, because of Bowden. At least they got rid of Chuckie Boy, who I have a serious problem with, ever since he wanted to call an ECU-N.C. State game a lose lose situation for his team. I hope he gets no other coaching job to be honest with you.

You know, maybe now we may find out that Bowden wasn't the problem, but Jimbo was....Now how funny would that be. By the way...anybody wanna take a bet that Bowden isn't done coaching?
