Kansas Is Preseason Hoops No. 1, UNC Is 6th

NEW YORK (AP) -- Kansas is No. 1 in The Associated Press' preseason college basketball poll after being named first on 55 of 65 votes cast by a nationwide media panel. Michigan State got five first-place votes and checks in at No.2 following a runner-up finish in last year's NCAA tournament. Texas, Kentucky and Villanova round out the top five while defending national champion North Carolina is sixth.
