RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The easy part of the schedule is over for North Carolina State.
The Wolfpack made quick work of consecutive Football Championship Subdivision opponents during the past two weeks. But now they're preparing for one of their toughest tests so far: A visit from a Pittsburgh team that was the preseason pick to win the Big East.
N.C. State has beaten Murray State and Gardner-Webb by a combined 110-21. But linebacker Ray Michel said Monday that it isn't about who the Wolfpack are playing, but how much better they can become as a team.
Tight end Matt Kushner says those FCS teams gave N.C. State their best shots, and that has prepared the Wolfpack for the rest of the schedule.
