NC State Still Sorting Out Depth Chart

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- With roughly a week before the season opener, North Carolina State still hasn't settled on its depth chart.

Coach Tom O'Brien isn't too concerned about that yet. He said Friday that he and his staff will review the final batch of practice film over the weekend and piece together the two-deep that he expects to release Monday.

O'Brien says his staff is "not finished working through some of the issues as far as positional things."

The biggest question marks on offense come at running back and along the offensive line. For the first time since he came to N.C. State in 2007, O'Brien doesn't have a tailback who has ever started a college game.

The Wolfpack open Sept. 4 against Western Carolina.

After this season is over, Tom O'Brien will be wishing he stayed up in Boston and still coached the Eagles.
