Lakers shake-up: Magic is in charge after GM Kupchak fired

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss fired her brother and general manager Mitch Kupchak on Tuesday and put Magic Johnson in charge of basketball operations.


Caleb White scored all of his 17 points in the second half, Kentrell Barkley also scored 17, and East Carolina rallied to beat Tulane 76-73 on Tuesday night for its first road win of the season after nine tries.


Terry Henderson scored 21 points, Dennis Smith Jr. added 18 points and North Carolina State dealt a blow to Georgia Tech's slim NCAA Tournament hopes with a 71-69 victory on Tuesday night.


Sidney Crosby scored the go-ahead goal on a deflection in the second period, and the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1 on Tuesday night.
