Angie Edwards of Beaulaville says she received a check in the mail for
$3,850 last week. The letter that came with it told her to evaluate a local Western Union store. Angie was supposed to look for things like cleanliness, attitude, and timeliness. The letter said Angie should fill out the survey, keep $400 for herself, but wire the rest of the money from the check to the survey company.

Angie says she knew this was a scam and also noticed that the postage was from Canada. That's where a lot of scams like this are coming from recently.

When someone asks you to deposit a check and wire part or all of it back to them, chances are, the check is fake. Banks often will charge you the amount of the check once it does not clear.
