Marvin Daugherty’s Sandwich Cookie Truffles

Ingredients

1 package sandwich cookies (Oreos or other brand)
1 package cream cheese (8 oz.)
2 8-oz. packages of semi sweet baking chocolate chips

Directions

Finely crush 9 cookies. (A food processor works great for this.) Keep in a small bowl separated from the other cookies.

Crush the remaining cookies (about 30) in a medium bowl.

Add the cream cheese to the crushed cookies until well blended.

Roll the mixture into about 40 truffles (1-inch balls).

Melt chocolate chips.

Dip the truffles in chocolate and sit on wax paper.

Sprinkle with cookie crumbs (kept aside in small bowl).

Store in refrigerator.
