Egg Custard Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pie shell
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 Tbs. Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups milk

Directions

  1. Combine eggs sugar and vanilla.

  2. Bring milk to a gentle boil stirring constantly (very important).

  3. Once milk is to a gentle boil add egg mixture and pour immediately into a pie shell.

  4. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

  5. Bake at 475 for 5-6 minutes then reduce heat to 375 and bake for 20 minutes.

  6. Let cool completely before slicing.
