NEW YORK (AP) -- David Letterman and Sen. John McCain will get a chance to make up.
The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to appear on Letterman's "Late Show" on Thursday.
It will be McCain's 13th visit to the CBS program but his first since he angered Letterman by canceling last month.
Letterman was unhappy when McCain sat for an interview with Katie Couric instead of him on Sept. 24.
At the time he said he first felt like a "patriot" to let McCain off his commitment to deal with the economy but "now I'm feeling like an ugly date."
A McCain spokeswoman said at the time that because of the economic crisis, the campaign "felt this wasn't a night for comedy."

Sammy, I really feel sorry for you. Race is a business in this country - not a condition. Do you honestly think that people like J. Jackson, Al Sharpton, Farrakhan, Rev. Wright, etc are going to cease their hateful and divisive rhetoric if Obama gets elected? Do you realize that, just as we can't seem to criticize the candidate, no one would be able to criticize the Pres. without being called a racist? The success and promotions of people like Oprah, Condi Rice, Colin Powell, Kenneth Chenault (AmEx), Bill Easter (Duke Energy), etc. (I know those are the most obvious ones but there are many other highly trusted individuals of color to name) should show you that you're wrong. From 2000 to 2005 the number of AA CEO's of major corporations increased by 300% according to Black Enterprise. I'm sorry you can't feel empowered by their success and must have a socialist extremist radical President to make you feel validated an American.

To WOLFGANG, I think you would have learned from you man McCain. SLAMMING Democrats will take you down in a hurry. Him and his sidekick slammed a few to many times and nothing will make that fact go away. The world saw John McCain for what he is, a washed up old man that is just like Bush. MORE OF THE SAME

Are not the sharpest knife in the draw. The Democrats depend on the prison gangs and the uneducated to get there votes. I could use a better word but it, would not get put into print. It is sick the Democtrats need these votes to get in office. " SICK ".
