Voter registration, locally, statewide and nationally is breaking records this election year.
In North Carolina there are around 600,000 more registered voters over last year. That contributes to a record six million overall voters.
The numbers are also up in Pitt County. There are now about 102,000 registered voters. That figure is about 10,000 more than the 2004 presidential election
To register to vote you just need to have your drivers license number or last four digits of your social security number with you. You can also download the form online and mail it in. The deadline to register is October 10th. After that you can register during the one-stop voting.
