Former Virginia Governor Mark Warner is calling Barack Obama the right man for the country, saying this presidential election year is a "race for the future."
Warner, a U.S. Senate candidate chosen by Obama to keynote the
Democratic National Convention, said in prepared remarks that the
United States won't do well in the increasingly competitive 21st
century with "a president who is stuck in the past."
Warner used his speech to declare that America's leaders "have
one shot to get it right. And the status quo won't cut it." He
charged that the Bush administration has governed with "misguided
policies and outdated thinking."
