Sen. Elizabeth Dole and other Republican leaders are holding a forum to discuss judicial nominees who have yet to be confirmed by the Senate.

Republicans will speak Monday afternoon about getting nominees confirmed in a timely manner. Dole will highlight the cases of two judges with North Carolina ties.

Judge Robert J. Conrad Jr. sits on the federal bench in North Carolina's western district, but he was first nominated to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals a year ago. Thomas Farr was nominated to be a judge in the eastern district of North Carolina in December 2006 but has yet to be confirmed by the Senate.

Farr is currently a Raleigh attorney.
